Welcome
Thank You For Discovering Dawson!
Words from the Pastor
Dear Friend,
It is not by chance you are visiting our site today and I pray the Spirit of God will direct your path and lead you in finding a church home that will encourage you spiritually and emotionally.
If you visit with us, you will find our church is based on the Word of God (Bible). As a church family, we desire to live out our faith based on scripture. We find joy in serving others as we grow in our relationship to our Saviour and strive for the following:
Hebrews 10:24-25
24: Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.
25: And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
II Timothy 2:15
15: Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.
John 13:34-35
34: So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.
35: Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.
Matthew 28:19-20
19: Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
20: Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
Friend, if we live out these simple scriptures, several things will happen:
1. God will be honored
2. Christ will be exalted
3. Christians will be encouraged
4. The church will grow
5. Lost people will come to know Christ
Thank you for your time, come hold us accountable. We sincerely hope you will visit us soon!
Pastor,
Ricky

Announcements
Ladies Dorcas Day
Dorcas was a devout disciple in Joppa, which was a port city in the Bible. (Acts 9:36-43) She was known for her extensive charity, especially sewing clothes and providing for the poor and especially for widows. Her life of good works was so impactful that after her death, mourning widows showed the garments she made to the Apostle Peter. He miraculously raised her from the dead and many in Joppa were led to believe in the Lord. Her legacy teaches us how selfless service, compassion, and humble acts of kindness can have an eternal impact and lead others to faith. Because we want to show that love to others, we would like to begin a new ministry at Dawson Baptist and have a ladies "Dorcas Day" once per quarter. We will meet in our church fellowship hall and work on a designated project to be shared with those in and around our community. Lunch will be served with wonderful fellowship and fun projects. Please be sure to check our church calendar for dates and time. This is open to all women, so we hope to see you there. To God Be The Glory!
